The MediSurge 2019 Recap

This last year has proven to be an eventful one for our team at MediSurge. 2019 has been packed full of great stories, collaborations, and impactful finished medical devices.

To celebrate the end of the year, we decided we’d reflect on some of our favorite moments from 2019. Keep reading to get a snapshot of what we’ve been up to lately.

In February, our team was proud to announce a partnership with Grand Valley State University (GVSU) and the applied Medical Device Institute (aMDI). We began working together to implement groundbreaking 3D printing technology from Carbon, Inc.

This project’s goal was to print polymer-based medical devices at production volumes with the use of a 3D printer. It’s just one way that our team is uplifting students, collaborating with our community, and innovating within the industry.

MediSurge is proud to work with highly talented interns. These great students share their new perspectives and dedication to our team.

This is even more true when it comes to Rebecca Jakob. She and a team from Grand Valley State University collaborated to create a piece for a functioning robot. This robot would be used to explore under the ice-covered surface of Ocean Worlds like Europa. Now that’s an incredible project!

In May, we were proud to launch our Quality Heroes program for our employees. We believe that it’s important to empower our team to call out quality concerns if they see them. In fact, any worker on the production floor can stop production for any reason. It’s just another way that we put quality first and empower our team.

Our first Quality Hero was none other than Rebecca Jakob, who spotted a label with an incorrect expiration date. Thank you, Rebecca, for your attention to detail!

Throughout this year, we’ve been happy to share tidbits about our team members. If you missed them, be sure to learn about Noah, Thao, Brooke, Brianna, Allen, Kelli, and also check out a highlight of some of the amazing women on our team.

We were also happy to introduce you to Bob Taylor, our CEO. He shared our company story, along with the values we embody every day. Learn about why our team is so dedicated to producing high-quality, impactful medical devices.

Thank you for helping us make 2019 such a great year. We can’t wait to work with you in 2020 and help push the limits of the medical device industry.
